A solemn opening ceremony of the memorial complex in memory of the heroes who died during the Great Patriotic War has taken place recently in the village of Kendelen, located in the Elbrus District of Kabardino-Balkaria, the press service of the regional administration reports.
"The names of the 756 residents of Kendelen who died on the battlefields of World War II were engraved on the stones of the memorial complex, located near the federal highway Prokhladny-Elbrus, next to the ‘Mourning Highlander’ monument,’’ Interfax-South reports.
