Merkel assesses role of Russia and Iran in Syria

The role of Russia and Iran has strengthen in the region after the U.S. withdrawal from Syria, German  Chancellor Angela Merkel said.

Merkel said in a speech in parliament that Germany will not deliver arms to Turkey.

She’s calling the military operation "a humanitarian drama with big geopolitical consequences," the AP reported.

According to her, it strengthens the role of Russia and Iran in the region and says the consequences of that "cannot be judged today."
