The European Union is betting on a diplomatic settlement of the situation around the Iranian nuclear program, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said following the results of the informal EU summit.
“We also discussed this issue and our joint actions. We have differences with the United States,” TASS quotes her as saying.
According to Merkel, Europe should adhere to a common position in the current situation. The German Chancellor stressed that Brussels bets ”not on de-escalation, but on a diplomatic decision."
