Amid looming collapse of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Mexico has intensified talks with its partners on creation of new free trade zones. Mexican and Turkish authorities have agreed to step up the negotiations regarding bilateral free trade agreement, Mexico’s Secretary of Foreign Affairs Luis Videgaray said, Sputnik reports.
"We've already had seven rounds of negotiations, and another round will be held in the coming weeks, we have agreed to speed up the process of searching for specifics of this agreement," Videgaray said following the meeting with his Turkish counterpart.
