According to the 'Migration and Remittances 2016' statistical handbook by the World Bank, migrant workers transferred $33 billion from Russia to their home countries in 2015.
Thus, Russia was in third place on remittances after the United States ($56 billion) and Saudi Arabia ($37 billion), Interfax reports.
