Mikayil Jabbarov: Moscow Salon of education is very interesting

The Moscow International Salon of education opened Wednesday is of special interest, since it allows us to learn about all aspects of the development in this sphere, Azerbaijani Minister of Education, Mikayil Jabbarov, said in an interview with a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza.

"We had a number of interesting meetings, including with the rectors of several leading Russian universities, as well as our Russian and Iranian colleagues. This is a very interesting salon, a very interesting exhibition. There's a lot to see, so we are discussing with our colleagues different areas – from extracurricular activities and pre-school education to professional and higher education, and developments in the field of general education," – he said.

Speaking on cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran, the minister noted that "these are neighboring friendly countries, and we take every opportunity to meet. My colleague, the Minister of Education of Iran is also here. We continue our working relations on a range of issues. The last time we met in Baku, before that in Paris. Now we are in Moscow. This our usual workflow," – said the head of the ministry.

On the Azerbaijani Minister’s agenda is a meeting at the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo), and meetings the management of several institutions of higher education. "We will continue to work with our colleagues from the Russian Ministry of Education. We are scheduled to meet Dmitry Viktorovich Livanov. So, we have a busy agenda," Mikayil Jabbarov summed up.
