Boxing legend Mike Tyson says he will be getting back in the ring this spring, but his opponent has not been revealed.
Tyson confirmed on his "Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson" podcast that he has a fight lined up for the end of May at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Details are scarce at this point, with Tyson saying he’s targeting May 29 as the fight date.
He didn’t mentioned an opponent. He and Evander Holyfield reportedly have been in talks and he would be a natural choice given their historic rivalry.
Tyson was last in the ring with Holyfield in June 1997, when Tyson was disqualified for twice biting the ear his opponent in one of the most infamous incidents in boxing history. Holyfield later forgave Tyson.
Tyson last appeared in the ring in a November exhibition matchup with Roy Woods Jr., fighting to an eight-round draw, Boxing Junkie reported.
