Russia and Turkey have a common interest in maintaining good neighborly relations, Deputy Foreign Minister, special representative of the Russian President for the Middle East and Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov, stated at the third plenary session 'The strategic interests and prospects of cooperation between Russia and Turkey in solving regional problems' at the international conference 'Russia and Turkey: strengthening of multifaceted cooperation'.
"Constructive dialogue between the leaders of the two countries allows the high dynamics of contacts to be maintained. The High Level Cooperation Council is an important mechanism in this sphere," he stressed, adding that since October of last year he has been in active contact with the Foreign Minister of Turkey, discussing Syria and Yemen.
