Mikhail Jabbarov: Azerbaijan is one of the centers of world intellectual movement

Today, Azerbaijan is one of the centers of intellectual movement not only in the post-Soviet space, but also in the entire world, Tax Minister of Azerbaijan Mikail Jabbarov sain in an interview with Vestnik Kavkaza on the sidelines of the 17th "What? Where? When?" World Championship.

"It's great that "What? Where? When?" World Championship's history began in Azerbaijan with the support of President Heydar Aliyev. We are very proud of this. Azerbaijan, both in the post-Soviet space and globally, is one of the centers of intellectual movement, and such competitions are popular even in our regions," he said.

According to him, competitions like this create great opportunities in terms of discovering new intellectuals in the 21st century. “I’m sure that our teams, just like in the past, will show what they got during this championship. It's hard to say who's the strongest. Traditionally it's Russia, Ukraine and Israel,” Mikail Jabbarov said.

Ex-expert of this game also shared memories of his first game. “It was in 1992. The beginning of 1992, I was in school. I remember the first game very well, just like the first defeat, the first victory, the first correctly answered question. I remember all of it,” he added.
