Mikhail Lermontov: Derbent is a living picture of peace through culture

The city of Derbent, where the east and the west converge, has become a living picture of one of the major aspirations of today – the desire for peace through culture. This statement was made by a descendant of the great poet Mikhail Lermontov, a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, President of the Association ‘Lermontov Heritage,’ and member of the Presidium of RKNK Mikhail Lermontov in an interview with a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza.
