Azerbaijani gymnast, European champion Mikhail Malkin told Vestnik Kavkaza that he showed his minimum during qualifying competitions of the Trampoline & Tumbling World Cup in Baku , holding onto most difficult elements of his program until the finals.
“I didn’t perform at best, the only task was to get to the finals. I will show more complex elements in the finals. I perform just like how we planned, so now we will prepare for tomorrow,” he said.
Mikhail Malkin thanked the audience for their support. “The audiece is very helpful. I don't want to let the audience down, so I try to perform even better,” Azerbaijani gymnast said.
The World Cup in Trampoline and Tumbling is set to run from February 16 to 17 in Baku. Some 200 gymnasts from 30 countries will take part in the championship.
