Militants fire Sheikh Maksoud district in Aleppo

Militants of the armed opposition fired the Sheikh Maksoud district in Aleppo, Syria's northern capital (360 km from Damascus) on Saturday, Tass reports.

The Firat news agency reported that the fire was conducted from multiple rocket launchers and mortars.

The attack killed five civilians, including one child and three others were injured.

According to Firat, Kurdish defense forces repelled attempts to oust them from their positions.

The attack involved formations which are part of the al-Jabhat al-Shamiya coalition (The Levant Front) coalition, headed by pro-Turkish groups of extremists of Ahrar ash-Sham and Sultan Murad brigade.
