Miller discuss Nord Stream-2 with German Ambassador to Russia

Russia's gas giant Gazprom CEO Aleksei Miller and Germany's Ambassador to Russia Rudiger von Fritsch held a working meeting today in Moscow.

At the meeting it was noted that Gazprom has built 1,080 kilometers of the Nord Stream-2 pipeline, which accounts for about 44% of the total length.

"More than 1,080 kilometers of the pipeline were built on the bottom of the Baltic Sea, about 44% of the total length," Gazprom said in a statement.

The Nord Stream-2 project envisages construction of two lines of a natural gas pipeline with an annual capacity of up to 55 billion cubic meters, running from the Russian shore to Germany under the Baltic Sea. Gazprom is implementing the project together with Germany’s E.ON and BASF, Royal Dutch Shell, OMV, and France’s Engie. The length of the pipeline’s route exceeds 1,200 kilometers, Prime news agency recalls.
