Miller: timeline of Turkish Stream may be very short

The Turkish Stream pipeline project may be implemented within the very shortest period of time, despite that fact that the respective intergovernmental agreement has not been signed yet, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said.

According to him, an agreement with the Turkish side was reached that the pipeline via the Black Sea will be run along the same corridor as the South Stream.

"The running of both routes coincides by almost two thirds," Miller said, adding that "all examinations and preliminary work on the South Stream project have been done already."

"Therefore, the timeline of the Turkish Stream implementation may be very short," the head of the company said.

He did not name any particular date. "Everything depends on the signing of the intergovernmental agreement," TASS cited Miller as saying.
