Mined car explodes in Syria's Qamishli, casualties reported

A mined car has exploded in the Kaddour Beek district of Syria's north-eastern city of Qamishli, located near the borders with Turkey and Iraq, Syria TV reported.

The media outlet said that the terror attack led to "injuries and fatalities" among civilians, but didn't provide any numbers.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far, Sputnik reported.

The explosion reportedly took place in front of the local Asayish headquarters, a Kurdish security force. Despite the presence of Damascus’ representatives in many of the governmental facilities, Qamishli is mostly controlled by the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG).
