The National Food Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia has issued a denial message about an outbreak recorded in the country of the bluetongue virus among small ruminants.
Representatives of the service reported that information about the death of several sheep in the Varketili district (an outlying district of Tbilisi), experts carried out all the necessary veterinary and epidemiological inspections.
The test results confirmed the absence of the disease in the dead animals.
The agency has already brought the relevant information to the attention of the Azerbaijani side, Sputnik Azerbaijan reports.
