State-led purchasing interventions on the grain market in Russia will start from Crimea. Trades will be held at the JSC 'Crimean Exchange', which was chosen for this purpose during a competition, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture reports.
In other regions, as in previous years, the intervention will take place at the six trading platforms of the National Mercantile Exchange.
Earlier, the head of the ministry, Alexander Tkachev, stated that the Ministry of Agriculture intends to purchase 2 million tonnes of grain for the state intervention fund. Taking into account previous purchases, the fund has about 1.9 million tons of grain.
