The Kazakh Foreign Ministry expressed the country's position on the vote of the Catalan Parliament on the independence of the region from Spain.
"Kazakhstan considers the situation in the autonomous community of Catalonia to be exclusively an internal matter of Spain and believes that its further development should proceed strictly within the framework of the current Spanish legislation," the Foreign Ministry’s statement reads, Sputnik Kazakhstan reports.
