According to the head of the department Veronika Skvortsova, speaking on the sidelines of the forum ONF, the Russian Ministry of Health is intending to introduce a new position of ombudsman under the president for protection of the rights of patients, but today there are a sufficient number of appropriate mechanisms.
The information that ‘the League advocates for patients,’ proposed to the Russian President to introduce the post of ombudsman for human patients was published in the Izvestia this year in May.
