In Russia, the situation with COVID-19 remains extremely tense, the incidence is growing in most regions, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Tuesday at a meeting of the Presidium of the Government Coordination Council on countering the spread of Covid-19.
"The situation with the coronavirus remains extremely tense," Mishustin said. He pointed out that the observed increase in the incidence is caused, first of all, by the spread of "omicron".
Over the past day, 67,8 thousand cases of infection were detected in Russia. It's the absolute maximum for the entire pandemic.
"The number of hospitalizations has increased in 48 constituent entities of the Russian Federation," the prime minister said.
He added that at present, the greatest burden falls on the outpatient network.
