Over 3000 trucks are waiting to pass the Verkhny Lars crossing post from the Russian side, customs attaché of the Armenian Embassy in Russia Aram Tananyan said.
"Of these trucks, about 500 are located directly at the checkpoint, the rest are on the way to Lars," Sputnik Armenia cited him as saying.
Earlier it was reported that the Verkhny Lars crossing post was closed two days ago due to bad weather conditions in Georgia. According to forecasts, bad weather will clear in three days. The crossing post is expected to reopen by the end of the week.
