More than 450 houses were left without gas in the St. George district of Stavropol because of an accident at a gas pipeline, which is now being repaired, the head of the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Measures in Stavropol, Oleg Degtyarev said.
"Information about damage to a medium-pressure gas pipeline at the intersection of Lazurnaya and Shkolnaya Streets was recieved at around 07:10 MSK," Interfax quoted him as saying.
Restoration work started at 08:00, it is expected that it will be finished by 17:00 MSK, he added.
