Moscow, Baku and Yerevan go through Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement

A phone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, according to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

The parties discussed the current situation in the region, including the implementation of the trilateral statements of November 10, 2020 and January 11, 2021. During the conversation, the ministers exchanged views on the situation around Ukraine, as well as other issues of mutual interest.

Lavrov also had a telephone call with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.

Two diplomats discussed an array of issues related to the Armenian-Russian cooperation, mutual visits and the events that will mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Russia.

Mirzoyan and Lavrov discussed also the status of the agreements reached by the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia on November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021.

Mirzoyan also presented to his colleague the position of the Armenian side regarding the start of negotiations on a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The interlocutors touched upon the process of normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations. An exchange of views took place on issues of regional and international security.
