Moscow, Tehran to create Digital Economy Association

This year, Russia, along with Iran, intends to create an international Digital Economy Association. By the end of the year, 5-6 states will join the association.

Moscow and Tehran signed an agreement on the creation of an International Association for the Digital Economy. A relevant statement was made on Thursday by the executive director of the Russian Association of the Crypto Industry and Blockchain.

According to Alexander Brazhnikov, the association will become a guarantor of joint actions of Russia, Iran, and other friendly countries in the field of the digital economy.

The main idea is to combine the efforts of a number of world states and create a useful product - a joint bitcoin, a gold standard, and so on, Brazhnikov says.

He notes that the creation of the association is planned for this year. At first stage, 5-6 state will join the association.
