Moscow and Baku take part in Caspian Working Group meeting

The 11th session of the High-Level Working Group (HLWG) on the Caspian Sea convened in Ashgabat, according to a September 15 statement from Turkmenistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Delegations from all five regional countries participated in the discussions.

"The meeting included representatives from Turkmenistan (headed by M.G. Atajanov), Azerbaijan (led by S.A. Sharifov), Iran (headed by K.G. Abadi), Kazakhstan (led by Z.D. Amanzholova), and Russia (headed by N.N. Udovichenko). The session was chaired by the head of the Turkmen delegation, M.G. Atajanov,"

the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan announced.

The meeting addressed methodologies for establishing direct baselines in the Caspian Sea.
