Tehran has hosted a meeting between the Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, Denis Manturov, and the Minister of Communications and Information Technologies of Iran, Mahmoud Vaezi. During the meeting the sides discussed the conditions of signing of the monetary agreement, which will facilitate exchange rates and the development of economic and trade ties.
After the meeting, the Iranian minister stressed that the barriers for future expansion of bilateral cooperation were examined at the negotiations and it was decided to coordinate efforts to address existing problems. According to him, Russia has promised to take the necessary steps in order to reduce tariffs in favor of Iran, RIA Novosti reported.
For his part, Denis Manturov drew attention to the need for closer cooperation between Moscow and Tehran, the basis for which will be friendly relations between the two countries.
