Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin commented on the current period of complications in relations between Armenia and Belarus.

He noted that Moscow was interested in the settlement of all the issues that were pressing for both sides. At the same time, the diplomat pointed out that it was difficult for Russia to explain Yerevan's actions towards Minsk.

Galuzin recalled that Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko had repeatedly stated his country's interest in a stable and secure South Caucasus. The Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that Minsk had acted with the goal of reconciling both parties even in the most difficult times.

The Deputy Minister said that Minsk and Yerevan were allies with whom Moscow was developing multifaceted cooperation. He added that the countries were members of the CIS, CSTO and EAEU.

The diplomat expressed the hope that all disagreements between Armenia and Belarus would not affect the progress of interaction within the framework of common integration associations in any way.

"We call on both capitals to look beyond the horizon, to realize the importance of the moment when the contours of a new world order are emerging, in the construction of which we would like to see not only Minsk, but also Yerevan",

Mikhail Galuzin said.
