Moscow temporarily recalls envoy from Yerevan

Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin was summoned to Moscow for consultations, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

"On May 24, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Armenia Kopyrkin was summoned to Moscow for consultations," the statement reads.

Earlier, the Armenian authorities said the country's security was highly dependent on Russia, noting that Yerevan has significantly reduced its dependence on Moscow.
