A day of mourning will be declared in Armenia on Charles Aznavour’s funeral day, on October 6, the Armenian governmental press-service said.
"I have signed a decree declaring October 6, the funeral day of Armenia’s National Hero Charles Aznavour day of mourning in Armenia," the country’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page, adding Aznavour’s death was "a big human loss."
Aznavour passed away on October 1 at the age of 94 at one of his homes, in the village of Mouries, north of Marseille.
