According to Ramzan Kadyrov, Head of Chechnya, Muslim Khuchiev has become the new elected mayor of Grozny,
"My dear friend and brother Muslim Khuchiev has been become Mayor of Grozny. Muslim Magomedovich has extensive management experience in solving large and complex problems," he wrote in his account on Vkontakte.
Muslim Khuchiev replaced Islam Kadyrov, who in July became the chief of staff and the head of the Chechen government.
