Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko has condemned the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) for the decision to suspend Russian teams from participating in competitions under the auspices of FIBA.
"Tomorrow I'll travel to Moscow, I'll study all the documents. I promise I will personally talk with FIBA in order to deal with the situation. They cannot do that to Russia. In this case I do not see any state interference. Yes, the situation is not very beautiful, but there is no interference. We live by the laws of our country. If the court makes a decision, we are obliged to carry it out," Gazeta.ru quotes Mutko as saying.
