A NATO official said alliance chief Jens Stoltenberg is looking forward to meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov soon on how to reduce chances of an accidental confrontation between Russian and NATO armed forces, News & Observer reports.
The meeting could come next week, when Stoltenberg and Lavrov are scheduled to be in New York for the annual session of the U.N. General Assembly.
