The Central Bank of the Russian Federation considers it necessary to strengthen the supervision of Russian banks. This was stated by the chairwoman of the Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, speaking in the State Duma.
"The difficulties in the economy and the financial sector are not a reason to curtail the policy of improvement of the banking sector, in fact, we consider it necessary to strengthen the supervision of banks,’’ TASS quotes her as saying.
