Armenia will open a consulate general in Dubai (UAE), the Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said today.
According to a corresponding decree of the Armenian president and a government decision, the need for the establishment of the consulate general in Dubai is dictated by the annual progress in Armenia's relations with the Gulf countries.
Another factor is that Dubai is home to about 3000 Armenian citizens. According to the government, the opening of consulate general in Dubai will also allow to carry out trade, economic and investment projects, ARKA reports.
