Nalbandian: we intend to develop democracy in Armenia

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said that the reaction of a number of countries and international organizations to events in Yerevan testifies to the interest of foreign partners in strengthening democracy in Armenia.

"We consider these responses as evidence of the interest of our partners in strengthening democracy in Armenia," Edward Nalbandian said.

"We reaffirm our commitment to democracy, fundamental freedoms and human rights in Armenia," TASS cited him as saying.

According to the Armenian Foreign Minister, "the competent authorities are already conducting an internal investigation and are taking all necessary steps to rectify the deficiencies pointed out by law enforcers themselves." "Our partners will be informed about the conclusions," he added.
