Naryshkin: it's necessary to strengthen protection of citizens and critical facilities

Russian lawmakers should review the legal framework for national security and strengthen the protection of citizens and critical facilities, the chairman of the State Duma Sergei Naryshkin said during a meeting of members of the Federation Council and State Duma deputies.

"And of course, the Parliament will support the president in his decision to give these bandits a decisive and harsh response," Naryshkin noted.

According to him, "terrorist crimes have no statute of limitations". The State Duma speaker urged his colleagues to unite and support the families affected by the terrorist attacks," TASS reports.

Discussions about the extension of the anti-Russian sanctions look  immoral on the backdrop of the latest tragedies, he said. "On the backdrop of today’s horrible tragedies this looks not just ridiculous, but, frankly speaking, wild and silly. This shows problems with political morale and dignity," Naryshkin said.

Naryshkin expressed hope that "the fate of the world is not an empty world for the West, and our partners will come to their senses".
