The chairman of the State Duma Sergei Naryshkin proposed to disband NATO.
At the meeting with the President of the Serbian Parliament, Maja Gojkovic, Naryshkin said that he "has a special attitude toward this organization", which he considers to be a "cancer tumor of the entire European continent". "It would have been better if the organization was disbanded," he believes.
According to him, it could be disbanded in several stages. "First of all, it is needed to expel the US from the organization," Naryshkin said, adding that "after this, the organization could be painlessly disbanded".
"This could serve as a good step on the way to strengthening security and stability on the entire European continent," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
