The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation holds perfect gymnastics tournaments, Slovak gymnast Natalia Poliakova said, speaking with the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza after the qualification round with hoop and ball routines at the Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships in Baku.
"The AGF holds perfect gymnastics tournaments. I love Baku very much, every time I come here, I feel at home," she admitted.
"I like absolutely everything in Baku - the arena, training facilities and the sporting atmosphere. Anything the AGF undertakes is done at the highest level," Natalia Poliakova emphasized.
"And the fans in Baku are amazing. When a person knows that they support and cheer him on, that his work makes the audience happy, it makes performing even more enjoyable," the Slovak gymnast noted.
The gymnast also noted that she liked the opening ceremony of the European Championships.
Baku is hosting the 35th Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships at the National Gymnastics Arena. Athletes from 35 countries are taking part in the championships. During the four-day championships, senior female gymnasts will perform in the individual program, while junior gymnasts will participate in the group exercise program. In total, the gymnasts will compete for 8 medal sets.
