Nazarbayev: EEU to survive crisis and fall

The Presidents of Russia and Kazakhstan, Vladimir Putin and Nursultan Nazarbayev, have met today in Sochi.

The head of Kazakhstan expressed confidence that the EEU will be able to overcome the negative trends in the economy. "Some say that the EEU dipped," Nazarbayev said, explaining that this is not because the union is bad, but because "the economy has such a trend."

"This is not the first time we have been in crisis," TASS cited the President as saying. The Kazakh President added that they need to find new ways to address the issues.
