Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde, who arrived in Astana on official visit, discussed the cooperation issues and situation in global economy.
Nazarbayev said that despite challenges, the country could prevent further GDP decline. He said he hopes the positive dynamics in GDP growth will remain in 2016.
Lagarde thanked Nazarbayev for the partnership with the IMF and vowed providing of needed assistance to Kazakhstan, AKIpress reports.
