President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has asked Kazakh exporters not to leave foreign currency abroad. Such a statement was made on Thursday in Astana at a meeting with the heads of large enterprises of the republic.
"I want to appeal to all our exporters. In terms of the new level of the exchange rate you should help the government and try to provide the country with foreign exchange revenue. Now we take measures, and it is difficult to do. All these things are the problems of the government. If it is possible, I advise you to sell the currency in Kazakhstan, rather than abroad,’’ Interfax-Azerbaijan cites him as saying.
The government will coordinate this direction.
Recall that today Kazakhstan moved to a floating exchange rate, which reduced the national currency by 35% against the dollar.
