Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has awarded the Russian cosmonaut Sergei Volkov the Order of Dostyk of the second degree, the press service of Kazkosmos said.
Volkov was awarded for his contribution to the strengthening of bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Russia, Gazeta.ru reports.
A capsule carrying cosmonauts has landed down in Kazakhstan today. Sergei Volkov spent six months on the International Space Station.
