Nazarbayev calls for traditions of Asian society, and that the country is not accused of autocracy

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev at an international conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic, answered all the opponents of democracy in Kazakhstan.

"I know that sometimes we are accused of autocracy. How can you talk about autocracy, when every 4-5 years the population elects its President in a national vote, elects its own parliament in free, alternative elections?" the President asked.

The head of state also noted that Kazakhstan is not fond of hurried political, abstract schemes of construction of the state, so it avoided failure, unlike neighboring countries, Interfax reports.
