President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has sent a message of congratulations to the German Chancellor Angela Merkel following the victory of the CDU, in the legislative elections.
Nazarbayev outlined that the parliament elections showed the German people's trust in her and her politics aimed at strengthening Germany's position in Europe and the whole world, as well as strengthening social-economic situation in the country.
The president wished Merkel successes in her job, AKIpress reported.
Merkel was sworn in for a fourth term as German chancellor on March 14. Germany's parliament earlier approved her re-election by 364 votes to 315.
