Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev plans to visit Mexico in autumn.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Idrissov, met with the chairperson of the Senate Committee of Foreign Affairs of the Parliament of Mexico, Gabriela Cuevas. The sides discussed the prospects of development of bilateral cooperation, which, according to the Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, is rising to a new level.
Idrissov informed about interest in the development of closer cooperation with Mexico in such sectors as petrochemical and engineering, mining, metallurgical, textile and food, and invited leading Mexican companies to cooperate with businesses in Kazakhstan in the agricultural and food spheres as well.
Cuevas, in her turn, said that Mexico is ready to develop bilateral cooperation in various spheres, including interaction in multilateral formats.
"Taking into consideration the completion of the talks on Kazakhstan's WTO accession, Idrissov proposed signing a convention on avoidance of double taxation and an agreement on protection of mutual investments and consider the issue regarding inclusion of Kazakhstan into the system of electronic approval of Mexican visas during the visit of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to Mexico planned for this autumn," RIA Novosti cited the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
