New COVID-19 vaccine registered in Russia

A new vaccine against COVID-19 was developed in Russia, the State Register of Medicines informs.

The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation registered the Convasel vaccine developed by the St. Petersburg Research Institute of Vaccines and Serums of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia.

According to the registry, Convasel is a subunit recombinant vaccine for the prevention of COVID-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The shelf life of the vaccine is six months at a temperature of 2-8 °C in a place protected from light.
