New Georgian domain to appear on Internet

A manager of the Information Technology Center (ITDC), Tinatin Monavardisashvili, said that a new address in the national language ‘გე’ has appeared on the Georgian Internet-space along with the ‘ge’ domain. According to her, now in writing the addresses of sites you can use the Georgian alphabet ‘Mkhedruli’ and add the ending ‘.გე’.

The Internet Corporation ICANN assigned Georgia the right to use the national domain in the writing of Internet addresses at the end of last year. The private company ITDC won a special tender and now has the right to sell and coordinate this domain in Georgia.
