Iran's newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia, Seyed Kazem Sadjadi, handed over copies of his credentials to Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
Nalbandian congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in fulfilling his mission, expressing hope that the Ambassador’s activities will promote the expansion of Armenian-Iranian relations and deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reports.
Expressing gratitude for the good wishes, the Ambassador stressed that the Iranian authorities attach great importance to the strengthening of friendly relations with Armenia, assuring that during his tenure he will make every effort for the development of relations between Tehran and Yerevan.
The sides discussed political, economic and cultural cooperation, aa well as joint projects, Novosti-Armenia reports.
