Grigol Vashadze was elected as a chairman of the United National Movement. The voting has been held yesterday at the 8th Congress of the party. 364 delegates voted in favor of Grigol Vashadze, one voted against and one abstained.
Former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili addressed the party members via the internet, Sputnik Georgia reported.
The voting process was conducted through a new method. The delegates used a mobile voting app.
