Former head of the interior department in Uzbekistan’s Jizzakh region, Abdusalom Azizov, has been appointed to the post of interior minister upon Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s decree.
Adham Ahmadbayev, who has served as the country’s interior minister since December 2013, was appointed state adviser to the president on work with law-enforcement agencies, Trend reports with reference to a representative of the country’s presidential administration.
